Classroom Design

Over the years, the process of teaching has evolved tremendously and continues to exhibit trusting results. However, the same cannot be said about the environment in which students learn. Unfortunately, most schools in India still follow the traditional setup of a classroom arrangement devoid of any creativity or any elements that can inspire creativity. A good educator can overcome the obstacles laid by ill-researched classroom designs and still provide quality education. However, we believe an educator is truly empowered to teach freely and encouraged to come up with experimental teaching methods when their classroom is designed to evoke inspiration. At The Bharath Academy, our classrooms are designed the same way – To Inspire.

Collaborative Classrooms in Touch with Nature

Imagine a scenario where a swimming team tried to practice on yoga mats. They wouldn’t get very far because the environment is wrong for the learning process. The same way, our students need an environment that is opposite of the traditional, information transfer kind of learning with blackboards, desks, benches and students with closed minds. Our classrooms are designed to encourage students to interact with each other, learn in a small group setup to have a clearer understanding of concepts and have the freedom to move freely. We have also ensured that our classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated and assist in practical learning.

15:1 Student to Teacher Ratio

When the class size is smaller, there is more scope for growth and learning. With our student-teacher ratio, our students receive individual attention and learn more with fewer distractions. Our teachers have the opportunity to get to know each student and have the time to work one-on-one with students to utilize their strengths and improve their weaknesses. Also, our small class size will help avoid students’ slipping under the teacher’s radar and encourage them to participate in the wide range of activities.
